2. I am the definition of lazy and debating just waiting all the way until the last minute that an assignment is due. There are times I rather just go to southwest to workout, take a nap, or eat, but I understand that because of what I am trying to accomplish here at school and post graduation that I need to not give up, but instead get my work done correctly and efficiently. I do everything necessary to make sure that I am successful in this course and in school.
3. The first tip I would say would be to stay on top of the assignments and to write down when blogs are due because they come up quickly and you wouldn't want to get a zero on an assignment. Another tip would be to watch the lecture videos because they are useful and helpful when navigating throughout this course. It simplifies everything and makes you think creatively with these assignments. My last tip would be to read the other students blogs in your group to really appreciate some of these elevator pitches and assignments. It provides you with great examples and a realization that some of these ideas are realistic.
Alex,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your halfway reflection and learning a little bit more about you. I fully agree with your “Never Give Up” picture; I would say that not giving up and staying on top of things is one of the most important factors for school success. My impression is that this class is all about not giving up, so your picture is quite appropriate. Last, I think your tips are spot-on and to the point. I also was inspired after reading everyone else’s blog posts, there are quite a few good ideas and maybe great products and services hidden in the open there! Thanks again for posting your reflection, and best of lucks with the second part of the class.
Hey Alex,
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree that the two most vital things necessary to excel in this course are proper organizational skills and staying on top of weekly assignments. I even see that you have already completed next weeks assignments, showing that you are very serious in your advice. This is a great way to ensure that you complete every assignment correctly with enough time to properly answer the assignment's questions.
The assignments in this course are rather straight forward, and if you allow yourself enough time to throughly complete your homework, they're engaging and pretty interesting. With that being said, I would agree that being organized in this course is a very important aspect to make sure you're not missing out on easy points. I talked a little bit in my blog post about how I have a set day and time to sit down and complete the assignments for the week to ensure I stay on top of the course requirements. I think that's the biggest tip I would pass on to future students of this course.
