The things that stick out to me the most as the most formative experience and things that I will remember years down the line are that I was able to get out of my comfort zone and really establish myself as a young entrepreneur trying to make a dream into a reality. I think doing those elevator pitches really taught me a lot about myself and gave me confidence that I did not think I really had before this course started. I am really proud of myself for getting out my shell and taking chances and really reaching and digging deep to try to come up with a business venture that I saw as a reality. This class taught me a lot about myself and with in regards to what I want to do in the upcoming future of my business career. By completing reading reflections and utilizing that knowledge with a combination of the lectures, I was able to accomplish a lot during this semester.
Yes, I do see myself as more of an entrepreneur after this course and really figuring out new different things about myself. I for sure consider myself to have a entrepreneurial mindset and could see myself years down the line looking at different possible products or services that I could implement in the upcoming future after college.
One recommendation that I would say to students coming into this class is to be open-minded and to really go with a business mindset. You need to be organized in this class to succeed, that is something that I did while partaking in this class. Go in with the mindset that you will succeed and I promise that you will succeed.
Hi Alex,
ReplyDeleteI related to your final reflection, as I am going through the same kind of end-of-course thoughts and feelings. Your remarks about stepping out of the comfort zone are spot-on: at least in my experience, this class brings risk-taking to a different level than any class I took before. I also share your opinion about this class bringing the entrepreneurial mindset to the surface. You did a very good job articulating these facts and putting the class in the context of a student venturing into the unknown world of entrepreneurship. Your recommendations for other students are also appropriate and insightful. Great job overall!
Hey Alex!
ReplyDeleteI totally related to just about everything you described in your final reflection. Though I was sort of caught off guard with how this class was going to operate regarding what I would going to gain from it, I definitely see how it enhanced the entrepreneur capabilities that I never knew I had. I would also recommend that potential students in this course remain open-minded because I think they will find that they will gain a lot and learn even more. Great post!
Alex,
ReplyDeleteI also find myself thinking more like an entrepreneur, and now I can't see myself doing anything else with my life. This course helped push us outside of our comfort zones and exposed us to a different way of thinking. The repetitiveness of some assignments could be painful at times, but in terms of the elevator pitches, practice makes perfect and it takes multiple attempts to develop an idea. Nice work this semester!
