What: With what I am trying to accomplish, it is evident that it isn't something that can happen over night, probably not in two nights either. It is a long process with a long-term benefits that the city of Las Vegas would full reap. If this were to happen which is in debate, would bring in increased income and revenue for the city due to the benefits that it is tied to. Creating jobs and employment, building and bringing a city closer and establishing entertainment for years to come is something that Vegas would do and what other major cities could do if they had an organization.
Benefits:
- Creates employment
- Automatic revenue to the city
- Another reason for tourist and residents to stay in Las Vegas long-term
Why: The cause of the outsiders needs are the same for the people that are inside the boundary. Cities countlessly each year try to make a major impact and move by bringing in an NFL franchise all for the same reasons and benefits. All in all, yes each city has a different structure and different reasons behind it. Not every city may get approved, but the cities that do have the same reasonings and benefiting the city as a whole is the main one.
| Inside the boundary | Outside the boundary |
| Who is In: Las Vegas, other major cities who don't have an NFL franchise in existence already. | Who is Not: Small cities without NFL organizations who's economy would not benefit from this move and ultimately make it a waste. |
| What the Need Is: To bring in NFL Organization to their respected city. | What the Need Is Not: Bringing an organization that would not help the current economic standing of that city. |
| Why the Need Exists: Creation of employment and jobs, revenue and income brought in by the franchise, and adds a factor for tourists and residents to stay settled in the city. | Alternative Explanations: Indifferent to the issue and because they don't feel it will be beneficial to the city in many ways. |
Hey Alex,
ReplyDeleteI think the idea you are trying to implement is a really good one! The city of Las Vegas would serve as a great basketball sports town, and you have brought up some very good points as to how bringing a team to the city can increase the economy and help add jobs in the area. It is something that has also been talked about for the past five years, so it is something that clearly has been thought about before, making it seem even more attainable.
I've never realized that the city of Las Vegas doesn't have a major sports team in the NBA or NFL. For being such a major city in the US , I do think it would bring in more jobs as well as help the economy. The only thing I can't really understand is how you would go about it. What would be the steps needed to go about starting a new organization? I know Miami is in the process of starting a new soccer team here and it's been years since the beginning of the process. A lot of permits and licenses must be acquired.
